Premier industry body Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) is set to host the second edition of the Gaming for Tomorrow Conference (GATO) on 24th April, 2019 at The Leela Ambience, Gurugram and has released the agenda and schedule for the event.
According to the organisers, the day long conference will have discussions around the various facets of digital gaming in India. Industry experts will brainstorm on the potential of various online games and will chart a roadmap for its future growth. The conference will also host special workshops for developers by AISPL and Amazon Alexa. The conference will also include exhibition from leading digital companies like Sony, Amazon, Trachea, ConversionX, Taj Rummy and AISPL.
GATO organisers state that this year the conference is aiming to evangelise and promote the sector as one of the pillars for driving the Digital India dream, which has the potential to generate revenue and employment generation for the country.
The event will be a networking and learning platform for gaming companies, start ups, developers and industry enthusiast. Stalwarts from the industry are expected to be present in heavy numbers.

The discussions will be centered around topics such as Design in gaming: Need and importance?; The rise of AI and AR/VR induced gaming; Mainstreaming Esports in India; The aesthetics of marketing a game in India; Responsible Gaming: Player Protection and Safety; Growth of fantasy sports in India and Development of the skill gaming industry in the country etc.
The event will also host workshops exclusive for budding developers focused on the central idea of building relevant skills needed to create a sizeable market for the gaming fraternity of India. The workshops will be conducted by developers from AISPL and Amazon Alexa. Some of the topics that will be dissected in the workshops includes ‘Build the Cake Walk Skill’, ‘The future of voice-based experiences in gaming’, ‘Add Memory to the skill to improve your Voice User Interface’.
IAMAI will also be handing over awards to eight gaming companies who have excelled in various categories of gaming in India at the end of the event.
