Multi-crore Baazi Poker Tour and IPC Events in Goa in January 2020
‘Tis the season for Poker players in India, as the year 2020 is starting with back-to-back multi-crore poker events, Baazi Poker Tour (BPT) and Indian Poker Championship (IPC), being hosted in Goa in January 2020.
Pokerbaazi.com is hosting Baazi Poker Tour ‘20 (BPT ‘20), the third edition of the poker event. The event started on 2nd January 2020 and will end on 14th January 2020. The event will be held aboard offshore casino Casino Pride 2 in Panjim, Goa. The event will host 16 online and live tournaments with players of all calibers from across the nation.
The thirteen-day poker event, which is a combination of online tournaments and offline events in Goa will have a total prize pool of over Rs. 7 crores. The online tournament for Baazi Poker Tour ‘20 will run from January 2nd to 5th and entails a total prize pool of Rs. 3 crores. The live BPT ‘20 event in Goa will be held from 8th to 15th January with a total prize pool of around Rs 4 crores.
BPTt will be followed by Indian Poker Championship (IPC) 2020 starting on 14th January. The live event will be held in Big Daddy Casino, Goa. It has a guaranteed prize pool of Rs 5 crores and the winner of the main event (buy-in of Rs. 50,000) will be crowned ‘India Poker Champion of the 2020 season’. Satellite qualifier games for the IPC started on 20th November 2019 and will be held till 13th January 2020.
The online edition of the championship called Indian Online Poker Championship (IOPC) will start on 24th January and continue till 9th February. The championship is hosted on SpartanPoker.com. The guaranteed prize pool of the online championship is Rs. 16 crores, bringing the total prize pool of SpartanPoker’s events at Rs. 21 crores.
