PokerBaazi EndBoss Tournament Pays Out Rs. 5.85 Crore in Prize Money

India’s biggest ever online poker tournament, PokerBaazi’s EndBoss, saw a huge field of 5,847 entrants push up the prize pool to a massive Rs. 5.85 crore (approx. $780,000).

It was Abhishek ‘Human_Al’ Maheshwari from Puna who made history on Sunday evening as the winner of Indian poker’s largest-ever online poker prize, taking home a monster Rs. 1 crore (approx. $130,000).

Running from April 15-19, the online tournament promised to smash an earlier record from 2020 held by competitor Spartan Poker, who had hosted a Rs. 3 crore guaranteed tournament.

With millions of Indians under lockdown because of coronavirus, online poker and gaming sites have seen an enormous pick-up in traffic which surely helped PokerBaazi exceed the advertised Rs. 5 crore guarantee.

In total, 585 places were paid in the marathon event, which sets a new benchmark for rival operators to beat.

Before EndBoss began, Varun Ganjoo, Marketing Director of Baazi Games, the parent company of PokerBaazi, told PokerGuru that: “Innovation has always been in PokerBaazi’s blood and we have always come up with industry-defining tournaments. EndBoss will be no different.

“We are sure that the tournament will attract existing and new players with its prize pool, structure, and affordable buy-in. We are looking forward to crowning India’s biggest-ever winner!”

The success of EndBoss comes just a month after PokerBaazi’s previous record Game Changer tourney, which awarded a total prize pool of Rs. 3.77 crore.
