Six people held in Delhi after police bust gambling racket in Malviya Nagar

Following a raid at a house in Delhi's Malviya Nagar, Delhi police have busted a gambling racket and arrested six people involved in running the show during the Indian Premier League season that got underway on April 9. Police have collected Rs 1.75 lakhs in cash, 995 coins worth Rs eight lakh during the raid.

"Six persons were found playing cards and poker through poker coins who were betting/gambling on a Poker Table. Around 1,75,000 cash, 10 packets of playing cards, a poker table, and two container boxes of poker coins having 995 coins have been seized from the accused persons," the police said.

The six people who have been arrested by police namely Ishan Gulati, Mayank Dhawan, Shivam Choudhary, Abhishek Bhardwaj, and Gulshan Rai as the Delhi Police confirmed that a case has been registered against them.

The Police inquiry further suggested that the rented house was being used allegedly as a gambling house by Ayushman Jain, who was the organizer of the gambling event.
